Woodland

We have about 3 acres of woodland which has been left to its own devices for many years. This is a beautiful space but much work is needed to maintain the woodland for years to come. Unfortunately much of the woodland is dying / dead ash and in the rest the canopy is so thick that little light gets the floor level and there is little vegetation at this level.

Following advice from the woodland trust and ecologists we are going to clear areas of dead trees and hope that in conjunction with community groups will regenerate the woodland so it remains for generations to come.

Within this space and in keeping with the surroundings we hope to hold activities to learn about how to support the woodland and allow others to experience the space.
